Concert day is full of excitement, and we want every Mini to feel confident from the moment they arrive.
Our backstage and change room areas are carefully supervised and structured to help your child feel secure and prepared for their time in the spotlight.
Below you’ll find what to expect in both areas so you and your Mini are ready for the big day!
On concert day, Minis will check in at their designated arrival time with a Minis staff member at the entry to Penrith Panthers, near the usual sign-in location. From there, you will be guided as a group up to the change room area by a staff member.
Once settled, our Minis will participate in a gentle simulation of what to expect during the show. This includes lining up, walking backstage, and completing a stage tour with a full run-through of one of their routines to help them feel confident and comfortable.
We kindly ask that parents remain in the Minis change room zone during this time, where you can wait for your child to return for a quick toilet break before we enter ‘lockdown’ — our term for the focused prep time before the concert begins.
We play quiet games, chat through the routine, and keep energy levels relaxed and positive. Students are escorted side-stage by staff when it’s time to perform during the show and celebrated with high-fives and cheers as they come off. Our goal is to make every Mini feel like a star while ensuring they’re cared for every step of the way.
Only approved staff and volunteers are permitted in the change rooms throughout the show for safety and to minimise distractions. If your child requires a nappy change, we kindly ask parents to visit the change room at halftime to assist.
The Mini's will have a designated area in the change room and it is recommended you pack healthy and CLEAN snacks. Only water is permitted backstage and we ask that every item of yours is labelled.
