END OF YEAR DRESS REHEARSAL

PRACTICE MAKES PERFORMANCE-READY

Our dress rehearsal is a crucial step in ensuring our performers are confident and stage-ready. It’s an opportunity for students to familiarise themselves with the performance environment, practice their routines in full costume, and make any necessary adjustments to staging and costumes before the big day.

Q&A

When will the extra rehearsal be?

Dress rehearsal for all students Petites and up will be on SATURDAY 06TH DECEMBER and will be held at our studio location. A parent meeting will happen in Studio 1 from 11am and dress rehearsal will start 11:45am using studio 3 as a stage space. This will be a closed rehearsal to parents. Let's save all the routines for showtime! All dance students will be required to attend their classes in the lead up to the show. It is very important for lining and formations for all routines that the students are working as a team and have as much time spent together as possible..

When will costumes be handed out?

Costumes will be handed out the morning of the dress rehearsal (all age groups EXCEPT Minis). At the time of the parent meeting all students will head to studio 3 with the Off Centre team to be provided with their individual bags which are pre packed with all the routine costumes that we are supplying. Each bag will be labelled with a slip outlining what shoes will be worn with the costumes and anything that needs to be provided by the cast member.

You will take your costumes home following the rehearsal to pack your bags for the concert the following week, please review all items carefully to make sure you’re set up for success!

What do we pack for food?

There is usually a brief break between the run through of the show to stop for a healthy lunch. This is catered for our students on rehearsal day for end of year. Please advise us of any key dietary requirements so that we can best prepare.

What do I need to have for dress rehearsal?

Dress rehearsal is a very exciting time. Here are the top of the list items you will need with you on the day:

Your costumes (provided to you in the morning before the full dress rehearsal commences)

All of your required shoes (please label your shoes with your name and have all correct footwear in the lead up to the concert in your classes and at this rehearsal ready for show day).

Have the correct hair style for your age group

Makeup for the dress rehearsal is NOT required
